About FiscalModus
FiscalModus is an indie financial calculator hub focused on SaaS unit economics, mortgage planning, and freelancer tax estimates for the US, UK, and Canada. We build fast, transparent tools with documented formulas — not opaque WordPress clones with hidden assumptions.
Our mission
Money tools on the web should explain what they calculate and what they omit. Every calculator page includes scope badges, methodology links, official citations where applicable, and plain-language guides so you can sanity-check results before making decisions.
Who builds this
The site is maintained by a software engineering team with experience building data-heavy products. Calculator logic lives in tested TypeScript modules with published methodology. We prioritize accuracy, page speed, and accessibility over ad clutter.
What we publish
The global SaaS hub covers runway, burn rate, CAC, LTV, churn, MRR, break-even, and pricing metrics. Country hubs add mortgage calculators (including US amortization and refinance, UK stamp duty, and Canada CMHC), plus self-employment tax estimators for 1099 filers, UK sole traders, and Canadian T2125 income.
Review policy
General calculators use peer-reviewed formulas and official references from agencies such as the IRS, HMRC, and CRA. Tax-related tools include prominent disclaimers: results are estimates for planning, not professional tax advice. Consult a licensed CPA, EA, or chartered accountant before filing.
Editorial standards
We update tax brackets and rate presets when official sources publish new figures. If you spot an error in a formula or outdated threshold, please reach out with a source link — we aim to verify and correct within a reasonable timeframe.
